The brand need

KCF needed a t-shirt for its annual Fire Camp that campers would want to keep wearing long after the event. The brief was to carry a clear, scripture-led message — grounded in the camp's theme of grace and destiny — without feeling like typical event merch. It had to read as contemporary streetwear a young congregation would reach for on an ordinary day.

The solution

A scripture-led, streetwear-leaning t-shirt for KCF's annual Fire Camp.

A moodboard of reference faith-based streetwear — scripture tees, hoodies and type treatments.
A moodboard set the tone: scripture-led messaging with a contemporary streetwear voice.
The proposed Fire Camp tee, front and back — a small 'fire camp 2025' flame logo on the chest and a large 'Divine Grace for Destiny > Exploits' back print.
Front and back of the proposed design: a compact flame mark and a bold typographic back.
The Fire Camp design shown across three colourways — brown, white and black tees — in a forest setting.
Proposed colourways so the tee works across garments and skin tones.

Process

  1. Step 01 Setting the tone

A moodboard of modern faith-and-streetwear references established the direction: confident display type, scripture used as graphic language, and a restrained palette that could live on coloured garments.

  2. Step 02 Front and back

The design pairs a small 'fire camp' flame mark on the chest with a bold typographic back — 'Divine Grace for Destiny > Exploits' — anchored by the camp's scripture and ministry seal.

  3. Step 03 Built to be worn

The artwork was tested across brown, white and black colourways so it held up on different garments and skin tones, keeping the message legible and the look cohesive across the run.

Outcome

The tee landed as camp merch people were genuinely happy to wear — a scripture-led message with a streetwear finish. Uptake at the event was strong, with the majority of attendees buying one.
